Longitudinal cutting on a vertical plate saw means the blade cuts along the length of the material, e.g. cutting a 2000 W x 6000 L x 300 H mm sized plate into 10 pieces of 200 mm wide plate of the same length and height. A traversing and vertically cutting saw frame is the best way to cut large plates, saving floor space, tooling costs and material loss.

Strong solid saw frame controlled hydraulically or via servo motor travels along linear guides, allowing for a pulse free, smooth cutting. For smaller-sized blocks, plates, molds or even irregular shapes, we recommend table-moving vertical plate saws. The hydraulically or servo-controlled work table moves and sends material towards the running blade.
