Cosen’s bandsaw machine can come with an optional scanner, which replaces manual data input with direct QR code or bar code scanning. Data input can contain order number, cutting speed, material name, material size, cut length, blade name and etc.
Bar/QR codes are generated by your office software e.g. ERP and can be printed on the work order or shown on any tablet. Using a scanning device at the machine instead of pressing those small buttons on the HMI greatly prevents personnel from making mistakes. Machines read in 100% correct data, 100% eliminating risks of typos, improving production efficiency and accuracy.

⚠️ Scanning provides high-speed, high-accuracy data entry, but is not a substitute for upstream validation. If incorrect source data is encoded at the front office ERP/MES, the scanner will still load those incorrect parameters. Upstream data validation and operator verification remain essential for safe operations.
