Beam Drill Line Infeed and Outfeed System
Powered roller table for feeding material to/from drilling or cutting zone
Material infeed system is used to feed material into the drilling and/or the cutting zone. Via the material alignment system, workpiece is aligned perfectly straight for accurate machining or cutting. The material infeed system is available in two types: powered or non-powered roller system. Users can either opt for servo-driven clamping jaw and the non-powered roller system to achieve fast accurate material feeding and positioning, or manually operate the powered roller system to get material positioned.
An automated longitudinal handling system for feeding, positioning, and transferring structural steel before and after beam drilling or sawing.
The Cosen beam drill line infeed and outfeed system automates the longitudinal movement of structural steel before and after drilling or sawing. It supports material feeding, positioning, transfer, and temporary staging to reduce repeated crane handling and improve coordination between processing stations. By maintaining a stable workflow, this system helps minimize the waiting time between processes and reduces the manual labor required for heavy material positioning.
- Heavy-Duty Capacity and Stability: Built with high-mass symmetric structures and FC30 gray iron castings, the system can support loads up to 5,000 kg (depending on the configuration). This high-rigidity design helps minimize deflection and maintains tracking accuracy under continuous multi-shift operations.
- Cross-Brand Integration Capabilities: Designed with an open-architecture control layout. Cosen can evaluate the integration of third-party or existing equipment using CPC-Connect or Modbus protocols via PLC/CNC controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens), allowing facilities to automate material flow while extending the life of current assets.
- Tested for Long-Term Durability: Before manufacturing, the mechanical designs undergo rigorous Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and dynamic modal simulations to identify and eliminate structural resonance, ensuring reliable performance in harsh industrial environments.
- Synchronized Production Pacing: Integrates dynamic lift-and-transfer units to automatically queue and feed structural profiles based on the processing cycle, reducing machine idle time caused by material starvation.
(Global Trust) Cosen’s material handling networks have been proven in major infrastructure projects across 80 countries.
Plan Your Material Flow Layout To evaluate the suitable infeed/outfeed configuration, please provide your: maximum material length and weight, expected feed speed/accuracy, factory floor plan, and any existing equipment/controllers you wish to integrate.
