High-speed cutting 2mm thin ceramic steel plate with Cosen vertical plate saw
Ceramic steel has the advantages of both steel and ceramics e.g. great hardness, strength, toughness, wear and corrosion resistance. It is used in industrial products such as shafts, pipes, and gears as well as in daily consumer goods as ceramic steel kitchen tableware.
Our American customer had a special request to cut 2mm thin plates out from the ceramic steel block they produced and came to Cosen for solution.
Diamond blade is required in this case due to the hardness of ceramic steel. With careful communications and dedicated RD and production team, Cosen built a semi-automatic vertical plate saw, SVT-5075 with movable workbed and specialized clamping device.
The very first 2mm thin plate test cut was an amazing to see where the blade could be vaguely seen behind the 2mm thin "sheet." The cut went and finished successfully, making happy customer and proud Cosen.
